Svastha Yoga

Svastha yoga is not a brand or style of yoga, rather, it is the name given by the Mohans to the yoga of Krishnamacharya which they teach. The word Svastha literally means ”to be established in one’s own self”, in other words, to be in a state of optimal health in body & mind.

Closely following the profound knowledge found in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali,a focus on using breath, with the intention of beginning the process of steadying the mind, this simple yet deep  practice translates as one which helps us to reintegrate on all levels to bring about personal transformation.

Classes are smaller than you may find in a typical yoga studio to enable individual attention and are inclusive and accessible.

The Mohan Family

A. G. Mohan and Indra Mohan, their son Dr Ganesh Mohan and daughter Nitya Mohan are an incredibly unique yoga teaching family.

They take their deep connection to the teachings of Sri T Krishnamacharya,(said to be the grandfather of modern yoga) and they convey them with relevance and clarity.

They define yoga precisely and make it applicable to our modern lives by offering practical tools for transformation.

Their humility, honesty, and sincerity is a guiding light amongst the confusion of the modern yoga world.
