This is an idyllic setting for the first bank holiday of the year. The retreat centre is a former manor house set in the grounds and ruins of a 14th century Cistercian Abbey.It is located on the banks of the river Calder in the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside and is very easy to access from Manchester.
We have had a little break from visiting so I am delighted to be returning!
We will take our practices in the vaulted hall which has just a touch of Hogwarts!! And the grounds are peaceful and atmospheric especially at dawn and dusk. Whalley is situated right in the centre of sleepy Whalley village, so you can take a train from Manchester directly to the venue.
Delicious vegetarian food will sustain us and in between practices you are free to explore the surrounding trails, or simply rest in the grounds.
We have had some truly memorable retreats here so I hope that you can join me for what promises to be a wonderful weekend.
